The Sun's Coming

A Note from Katy

By Katy Agro Myers, Publisher Mom, Macaroni Kid Pasadena-Severna Park March 21, 2019

I'm sitting here on a Thursday afternoon, on what my boys described to me as a "poopy day."  They were SO right!

It's been an exciting week-my oldest turned NINE (how is that even possible?!) and the first day of Spring has arrived.  It may not feel like it, but I think it's true!  Spring is here, the warmer weather, spring sports, flowers blooming and new beginnings are just around the corner.  I don't know about you, but I'm ready for it!  I'm tired of the cold, dreary days.  We still ride bikes and play outside in the cold, but won't it be so much better if it's warm?  I won't even care if it rains if it's warm (yeah, right, I'm totally over the rain).

It's been a tough week here.  Really we've done a decent job at putting one foot in front of the other, but I've struggled personally this week.  I've been on the sidelines for a couple of weeks and as a mom, it's just hard to take care of yourself. Even when your body tells you that you HAVE to sit it out, it's so hard to tell your brain to shut it down.  There have been tears this week-theirs and mine.  But today? Today, I woke up feeling like it was a new day and things are looking up. This has been the best day I've had and I'm banking on it staying that way.  We can only go up from the bottom, right??? I'm hoping the sunshine and warmer temps will just bring a lot of fun memories and family fun to my boys and me over the next few months!

Speaking of family fun, there are so many fun events coming up, I just want to highlight a few:

And we may have on or two more tricks (read events) up our sleeves for the Spring!

Anyway, I'm going to pretend it's not raining and the sun is coming out tomorrow-the forecast looks like it's going to get better this weekend and early next week.

xoxo,

Katy
